Many of you know the famous story about the early 1900's efficiency
expert Ivy Lee, who helped Bethlehem Steel's executives increase
their effectiveness so much in 90 days, that Charles Schwab, the
president, sent him a check for US $35,000 for 90 days' work.
That was at a time when the average American worker was earning
$2 per day. (!) Story here Because of
that wild success, many people have done the same thing. Make
their list of 6 top priorities.
Those that have followed that regime report that their success
was due almost entirely to making up that list of 6 priorities,
and sticking to them each day, for whatever part of the day they
had comitted to work. Banana Marketing
Mary Kay Ashe, founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, is one, for example.
Story here
So how about You?
When are you writing up your list of 6 most important things
and ranking them in order of importance? For your business? For
your personal, spiritual or other lives?
And then of course, DO them, in order? And do ONLY those things
in that holy order, for the time you commit to building your business?
Hmm. So what might those things be for building a successful networking
business? For a new baby, or for someone starting their next 90
days again?
Many people have asked me for the list I used to build my own
huge business, which was sprawled throughout every state in the
US and abroad. (I sold it back to my old company years ago.) Here
it is:
This 'top 6' list assumes that you have asked the new baby, or
the person starting anew, the 3 leading questions: What attracted
you to the business?
Have you ever done anything like this before? Network marketing,
direct sales, or owned a busines of your own?
What, ideally, are you looking for? AND that you have also asked
these 3 'Knock-me off the fence questions' (on
p 196 in the Truth book)
How fast do you want to go? Turbo speed, medium or the leisure
track?
How much time and money can you commit to the building of your
business?
When are you ready to get started?
(These and more questions like this are in Ms.
Stud's Complete Collection)
So, on the date and time they say they're ready to get started,
here's the list I used, and which newbies received for themselves
as their own 'business plan' to follow. Always let them know that
they must learn this list just well enough to help their own next
babies help THEIR babies do the same thing. OK? So here's the
6-point 'business plan' they get:
Help Your Babies Do These 6 Priorities In This Order:
|
1. Review the reaching out methods in the Truth book. with the new person or the about-to-be-reborn new person. (2-4 hours focussed, non-interrupted time). Can be done together at the kitchen table, or on the phone with each person having the Truth book and calendar. 2. Select 3-5 reaching out methods (ROMs) 3. Find buddies to do the ROMs with. No doing ROMs alone! Not ever!! See Truth book for doing them in teams. 4. Set up practice scripts schedule, and practice the scripts for the different ROMs at leasts 5 times before the real thing. Phone works great, or get-togethers in cool hotel lobbies or people's kitchens. Use the scripts in the Truth and Rules books. (Ms. Stud's Complete Collection) 5. Do the 3-5 ROMs in teams over the next 10 days. Allow 1 hour to 2 hours for each ROM. 6. Make adjustments and start again with #1 above with new babies, or repeat with older ones who need to restart. |
Tip to making this work: FOCUS ON NOTHING else but the
thing during the time set aside to build the business. If it's
1 hour a day, fine. But then, NO DISTRACTIONS during that hour.
NONE.
Remember how Irwin Menken, President of Network
Marketing Lifestyles, explained to Ms Stud why his cousin,
Alan Menken, the Oscar winning Disney composer (e.g. 'Beauty and
the Beast' sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson), made it so big
in the music business, while Irwin himself, also a musician, did
not? Irwin said about Alan:
"He Just Refused To Do Anything Else"
What if, during the time you've set aside to build your business,
you and your people 'refused to do anything else' except #1 on
that list, until it's done, then #2, then #3 - in teams.
You can do this with your team and the home study course, which
is package #5 here. Or you can do it in real time with a team
of other comitted people in your company, led by Ms. Stud, in
the 6-week intensive Blitz. The next 6-week
Baisc Training Course is soon! See
what's happened to people who did it.
