What company did Kim
do?
NSA, in 1989. Then two others that have since gone out, and in 1994,
back to NSA. With NSA she made her mark marketing a nutritional product,
fruits and veggies in capsules.
Read about Kim's success
with NSA...
Kim and her team rose
through the ranks faster than anyone else in the 25 year history
of NSA.
Does she still do it?
No more. Sold the distributorship back to the company in 1996.
Is she doing any
deals now?
No. I use products from several companies, but recruit for none. Our
business is motivational entertainment now, motivating, entertaining
and offering non- threatening and alternative reaching out methods to
the entire direct sales and network marketing industry.
Why doesn't
she do one of the good deals out there? She'd have about everyone in
the world wanting to sign up under her?
Because the current focus is to put the ideas and stories now in the
book and on the tapes on national TV. Then we can expose the pukey
types the world over, make fun of those types, and maybe, if we can
embarrass them enough, keep them from going off on people who are trying
to do something new to make a difference in their lives and those of
others.
After all, like Hope Springs says (in The Truth...)
what if it does work? And if it doesn't, so what? What else is new?
Don't smart people just try again? And again? Making little adjustments
here and there? And isn't the road made easier with a little love and
support from other entrepreneurial and kindly spirits? What if next
year you got to say, 'I knew her way back when...and now she's famous
because of that bright idea everybody laughed at. But I knew all along
it was gonna work. Ha!'
How would that feel? Hmmm?
From Holland to America in 1952, as a little girl, already entertaining
sailors on the boat, she played the accordion for laughs and tips.
Her academic period lasted through MIT, Harvard and Stanford.
At MIT in 1970 she nearly failed "the" introductory linguistics
class taught by the world renowned Noam Chomsky.
So she wrote 'From Deep to Surface Structure' that summer (under her
married name), and got it published by Harper & Row, NY in 1971.
A great satisfaction as it became the basic textbook for the introductory
linguistics course at MIT and other universities across the U.S. The
foreword was written by Noam Chomsky.(!)
At Harvard in 1972 she wrote language tests for children.
The 'Bilingual Syntax Measure' was published in 1972 and 1973 by Harcourt
Brace, NY. These cartoon style tests are used in elementary school throughout
the US. Her 15 yr. old brother did the cartooning. She authored and
co-authored 4 more major textbooks.
During that time she earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from
Harvard.
Her next eight years were spent as an independent consultant to the
US office of Education, NIE, NIHM and other government agencies funding
research focused on the language development of children across the
U.S.
From academics to real estate... 1982-1989 setting
up locations for such chains as McDonald's and Wendy's.
Then, the discovery of network marketing. Her first attempt as a direct
seller was a great personal success. She retailed more water filtration
units than anyone in the company's history. Nearly $60k in her first
month alone! But nobody told her about sponsoring people who would do
the same thing, and so she decided it was too much work for the money.
Kim took a year to learn about screenwriting and video production...
knowing the time would come someday to pursue that interest.
She returned to networking one more time, learned the
art of giant heap building, built a heap of her own... breaking all
company records. Using the methods on the tapes and in the book.
She became an industry superstar. Her events were
(and are) standing room only shows to entertain, delight and offer alternative
techniques to find those elusive, 'right' ones for the business.
In 1996, responding to the thousands of requests to put her attitude
and tips on audio tape and make her fun techniques available to anyone
looking for alternatives to the status quo, Kim gave up her interest
in her networking companies, and founded Max Out Productions in 1996.
The website now gets 5 Million hits a month and
has been featured in countless magazines,
websites and newsletters.
