How do you get the right person to see the advantage of coming in at the top level when they first sign up?

Picture this: You've had a conversation or two with someone who is clearly interested in the business, but who has not made a commitment yet. It's time for the next conversation. How do you get that right person to see the benefits of coming in at the top pay level?

Three steps:

Picking up the ongoing conversation right at page 192, question 3 in the Truth book you ask: So, let me ask you this. How fast do you want to go? Turbo speed, medium, or the leisure track?


THEM: Turbo (even Medium)

YOU: Great. So, how much time and money can you commit to building your business in the first six months, whether you make any money or not during that time? Pick a number between say, $50 to $500/mo or more, you know, for business cards and reaching out. Tell me what you can do, so I can help you get the most bang for your buck and for the time you can commit.

THEM: Maybe $300 per mo. But uh, what's the start up cost?

STEP 2.

YOU: Well, LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I DID. I wanted to start at the top, so I could get paid the most. The higher the pay level you're at, the more they pay you for making the same sales. The commissions range from 10%-30%. I wanted to start right out making 30%, so I came in at the top level. Is that what you'd like to do, too?
 
 NOTE: Use the percent commission range on personal sales for your company

THEM: How much is that?

YOU: Well, they give you [12 boxes/1 case of X, LIST WHATEVER YOU GET], which is enough for yourself and extra for resale, for $2750. I sold most of what I didn't use within the first month. So I got my money back and then some. And now for every sale I make, they pay me 30% instead of 10%. That's how that works.
Do you want to do that too?

THEM:
option #1: That sounds good.

You know what to do then, yes? If instead, this happens:

THEM:
option #2: Well, I can't do the whole thing right now, but maybe half. Could I bring in others to make up the difference? Would they count for me?

YOU: You bet. Anyone you bring in during the pay period counts for you. And I can help you so it goes faster.

WHEN ARE YOU READY TO GET STARTED?

STEP 3

Uh oh--you haven't reached the top level yet, or didn't start that way? You can start your first 30 days anytime you want. Either do what it takes to get to the top level, or bring in some others to help you get there.

Then, you can truthfully say:

Let me tell you what I did when I decided to do this for real: I got myself to the top level in 7 days (OR LESS, WHATEVER YOU DID] so I could start right out making 30%. Is that what you'd like to do, too?

Then continue with the script above.
